Colombia Jairo Arcila Lulo

Exquisitely crafted to perfection by the renowned Arcila family, revered for their exquisite micro-lots and outstanding cupping scores.  The flavour and aroma in the Arcila offerings result from their unique fruit maceration technique.

This exquisite coffee features a 72-hour anaerobic fermentation process, during which wine yeast and Lulo, a local Colombian fruit are added.  Lulo or Naranjilla means "little orange" in Spanish.   Following fermentation, the cherries, rich in flavour from the macerated fruit, are pulped and placed to dry on raised beds until the ideal moisture content is achieved.

A tantalizing mix of sweet and acidic elevates this truly remarkable coffee.  Fill your cup with a delightful treat.

This coffee is best enjoyed as an espresso, both black and with milk.

Tasting: Citrus, Ripe Lulo, Caramelised Apple, Dark Chocolate

Guatemala El Boqueron

Produced in the Santa Rosa region, the 250 smallholder farmers who contribute to this Boqueron coffee have made a commitment to only harvest between December and February, which means that the crop is at its absolute peak ripeness.

This is one of our most popular singles.

Tasting: We are seeing some mind blowing notes of tropical fruit, cherry and strawberries.

Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Gargari Gutity

In southern Ethiopia, the village of Banko Gutity is situated near the Gutity River, which supports local coffee cultivation. Here, 2,400 smallholder farmers grow coffee in their backyards and bring their harvests to the Gargari washing station.

Coffee produced in Ethiopia is inherently organic; the native landrace varieties work in harmony with the ecosystem, offering organic fertilizer and natural pest management. This variety is renowned for its small bean size, but as the saying goes, good things come in small packages!  It boasts bright acidity and a rich, complex fruit profile, both of which are characteristic of the variety and its high-growing altitude.

The selected cherries are floated prior to being moved to African drying beds, where they undergo a drying and natural fermentation process lasting 19 to 21 days, depending on the weather conditions. Ongoing hand-picking and rotation are implemented to maintain quality and consistency, while supervisors utilize moisture measurement tools and other equipment to manage the process for the best possible outcomes.

Tasting:  Notes of Anise, Blueberry, Coconut Cream, Mixed Fruits

Colombia Yellow Pacamara

This coffee was grown by Luis Anibal Calderon at the farm in Villa Betulia.  Each coffee cherry is selected for it's perfect ripeness.  From there, only the highest quality cherries are sun-dried on raised beds to attain the perfect moisture level.

The Yellow Pacamara is a natural mutation of the Red Pacamara (a cross between a Maragogype and Pacas). It was discovered by the Mierisch Family in Nicaragua.  Showcasing the fruity and aromatic qualities of Pacas with the smooth acidity of Maragogype it is prized among coffee connoisseurs seeking a complex and memorable coffee experience.

Tasting:  Notes of Tangerine, ripe cherries, vanilla, orange zest and brown sugar in every cup.
